The song Beautiful by Eminem because in the song he raps about his life and people think about how bad he had it and everything but in the song there is a message and its that even though people say things everyday dont ever let it get you down.

The TV show Falling Skies is a show I watched this summer about a alien invasion and a resistance efforts to drive them from earth. The humans are impossibly outnumbered and outgunned, but they fight back anyway. The lesson here is to never give up hope, and it also shows the consequences of fighting with people you know.

I think the story of Hansel and Gretel is an allegory because the author is actually trying to teach you not to trust strangers, and that looks can be deceiving.

The Notre Dame victory march is the fight song of university of Notre Dame. It was writen by two brothers who where ND grads, Rev. Michael Shea wrote the music and Jhon Shea wrote the lyrics. Whenever I hear This fight song it makes feel a sense of pride and loyalty to a college that means so much to me, im proud to be an ND fan.

I choose the childrens song the "Itsy Bitys Spider". I choose this because the song represents how even if you keep falling down or having troubles you should get back up and try again, because a new day is always right around the corner.
I think Snow White is an allegory becuase it has a moral lesson of good will always prevail over evil.

I think that Finding Nemo is an allegory because when Dorie says "just keep swimming" Disney is reminding you that no matter how hard things get you should keep moving forward and never give up.

The movie Beauty and the beast i believe represents allegory because as a kid you just think that there a beast and girl that fall in love to he can turn back, but when you think about it, it can also mean that looks don't always matter. Also that feelings are deeper then looks.

The song Androgynous by The Replacements, is a very good representation of allegory because the song sounds like a story book tale but really it is making a point that appearance doesn't matter and that the things that are controversy today, will go on un noticed, tomorrow. Also it is stating that times are changing and gender lines are becoming more blurred, with the rising acceptance of gay and transgender individuals.

The movie, Aladdin is an example of an allegory because it shows the lying is wrong and that you have to be honest, it would appear as just an animated kids film to that age but watching later, its easy to see that it teaches that lying isn't good.

The song Rise Above This by Seether, it shows the common theme of falling, which really is an Allegory. Then, the positive side of this is the line "I'll Rise above this" saying basically no matter how fall you far, as in deep dark times in your life, you can always pick yourself up back on your feet and keep trying.

I think that the book To kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is an allegory because in the book Atticus tells scout and Jem that they cannot solve problems with there fists and only in nonviolent ways, At first scout just thinks he means at school. But it has a lot of meaning in the story.
